Sask. United Church of Canada Women Event

The Sask. United Church of Canada Women look forward to hosting our final event for this year on Saturday, October 5 at First United Church (223 – 3rd Avenue North East) in Swift Current.  This one day Women’s Event will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. and end with coffee and a snack at 3 p.m.   Cost is $15 and will include lunch and morning and afternoon coffee and tea.  PLEASE RSVP BY SEPTEMBER 29 to Mary Mohn at d.mohn@nullsasktel.net or phone 306-749-3446.   All United Church Women are welcome!   

The agenda will include:
10 a.m.   Meeting will include:
Introduction to current Executive
FInancial Report
Election of Executive for the coming year.
Volunteers for Planning Committee for next year’s Women’s Gathering
Report from National UCW meeting at Mississauga
60th Anniversary Project – Women for Change, Zambia

11 a.m.   Worship with communion.  Will include lighting of memorial candles for those who have passed away this year.  Please let me know ahead for names, etc. and if possible a copy of the obituary so they can be put beside each candle.

12 Noon   Lunch

1 p.m.   Guest Speaker: Catherine Christie   She will talk about the Inaugural meeting and where women and women’s groups like the UCW fit into the new Regional Model.  Time for discussion and question and answer.  Also time to visit displays of photo albums, 55th Anniversary Books for sale, etc.

3 p.m.  Coffee and snack
